Music Lessons
Backed by 12 years of teaching experience, Alex Heffron has developed a versatile teaching style that caters to players of any skill level, age, and musical preference. Notably, he served as a guest artist in the guitar department at Denver School of the Arts for 5 years. He helped create course materials, taught masterclasses for middle and high schoolers on a myriad of topics, taught 1 on 1 lessons focusing on Classical, Jazz, and Pop styles, as well as writing arrangements and transcribing for student groups.
Alex also taught regularly at Kent Denver, Dawson School, and as a guest clinician at both CU Boulder and the University of Wyoming. Additionally, Alex has been part of the faculty at the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts, working with adult and youth combos. He has curated and taught Jazz Guitar classes for Gift of Jazz. With the Denver Municipal Band, Alex worked with bands and students at schools across the Denver Metro area. Alex holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Colorado Boulder.
